Lessons I Learned From International Business (College Course)
One lesson I learned from the project group that when you work in a team with a decent number of problems that people ask. In our case, this came as a member of the group did not do the work that was assigned. It was very frustrating for the rest of the group because of his shoddy work throws a bad light on the entire group, and several times we have stuck with rewriting its share of the project. Be was a member to do their share of the work to be new, and I had with the rest of the group as they struggle to approach the situation as Christians. Working with the same group for an entire semester, we met other strengths and weaknesses and then we could assign tasks according to each member. The other important point I learned from the project group was that it takes a lot of work to acquire a company in another country. It was clear that the various sections of the draft became due. As we all needed information for the group project, I looked back on everything we have done and I was involved in the work we put into the project and amazed, as it really showed the amount of data that we collected. Even if we do not use it much of the information contained in our presentation, we have the information, the conclusions that we presented.
I think I was successful in many areas of our group project, but we have had particular success in our financial reporting. Since our goal is an investment opportunity, find a lot to earn the money would, we decided that it would take a big investment to generate a significant return. We have asked investors for $ 141 million and would be able to pay back in 2 years with an interest rate of 12%. All you need financial information fairly realistic and attainable, I think it was a great success for our team.
There is always room for improvement in the group project and the project was no exception. Our biggest problem was that we not repeat the full presentation as a group, meet some of our members and review the basics of our presentation, but we were never again able to collect all the time, our sales pitch. This led to some confusion in the presentation, which has lost much of our professional printing. Apart from not practicing together, I think many members of my group did not suffer enough on their own practice, including my own, and our idea, as wandering in front of the class because they don ‘their information has been practiced in a limited space.
Overall, I thought our presentation was very professional, but we were able to take it to the next level if we had practiced as a group several times, and our individual members have more time to rehearse their own points. If I had to start this project from scratch, I would make sure that my group had a clear communication of what is expected of each member, including the quality of work and if work needs to be rotated on the entire project, I want a better communication to see between my team, make sure everyone is on the same page. Finally, I want to start preparing the presentation in advance so that enough time to rehearse as a group and the presentation would be perfect.
In this class we have learned many lessons for international affairs and one of the first lessons is that should the four Ps, product, price, place and promotion are also used internationally. We also learned that knowledge of culture is the key to the success of companies that increasingly, and with examples of how we Disneyland Disneyland in Japan from France, we saw a real lack of understanding of corporate culture and lose millions of dollars. Learning the difference between time and time PM is very practical and can save much time when I take my career in a society of the time P. The most important, I think in this class learned was the importance of knowing your target audience, because that’s what makes a company succeed or fail. Knowing the market, can be difficult, because different languages, social structures, and some profiles of attitude has been overcome as in a strange land. When I go my future career I will remember the importance of knowing my audience and respect for their culture.
